It’s a new year and a new term at SVA. That in itself is cause to celebrate. And there’s another reason to celebrate: a 22-story reason. The “new residence” of SVA (first mentioned in the Visual Arts Briefs of November 19) has opened its doors. With a new address to add to the SVA campus map, this ultra modern residence hall at
215 East 23 Street, can officially be called home-or at least “home away from home”-to many of our students. For now, SVA students occupy the first five floors and the rest of the residence will fill up in the fall. We’d like to welcome this community of students to living on campus. Now get to class!
