Photo District News Online recently unveiled its “Emerging Artists Series,” and the glow of their spotlight has fallen on Jonathan Torgovnik (BFA Photo, 1996). Mr. Torgovnik was also featured earlier this year in PDN‘s popular annual feature “PDN 30,” which features up-and-coming photographers who are causing a stir in the industry. Included in the latest PDN piece are many of his striking images and an interview conducted by Vanity Fair’‘s David Friend. Kevin O’Callaghan, chair of the 3D design program, has created the latest of the signature SVA posters, a commemoration of 9/11. It will be posted throughout the subway system for the remainder of the month. Also, a billboard size version of the poster (38′ x 28′) was just installed on the west wall of 209 East 23 Street and can best be seen on 23rd Street just west of Third Avenue.
