October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on October 20, thousands of people will come together in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and walk five miles through Central Park to help raise money towards breast cancer research. In addition to the walk, the day will be filled with other festivities, including music, and food. The Office of Campus & Residence Life encourages everyone from the SVA community to participate. The goal this year is to have at least 50 walkers and raise at least $5 – 10 per person. To participate, contact Tina Crayton at 592.2141 for a registration form. The deadline to register is October 10. Walkers from the College will have matching SVA shirts, so those planning to participate should include their shirt size when they return their registration form.
