One for the Books

After launching its Tote Bag Design Contest, The Strand bookstore has found a new bag design to represent the New York City chain and named finalists in the competition, including four members of the SVA community: Na Kyung Lee (current student, BFA Illustration and Cartooning Department), Cameron K. Lewis (current student, BFA Illustration and Cartooning Department), Youngsun Liu (MFA 2009 Illustration as Visual Essay) and Erin Supinski (current student, MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department) made the list of 20 finalists from an international pool of submissions.

The winner will have a design produced on a tote for the bookstore; all finalists received prizes and their designs will be on display June 22 – July 5 at SVA, 133/141 West 21st Street, with a reception on Tuesday, June 22, 6:30 – 8pm. Click here to view the finalists’ designs.
