Animation Achievement

Another Dusty Film and Animiation Award recipient is making headlines with a winning film. Jake Armstrong’s (BFA 2009 Animation) animation The Terrible Thing of Alpha 9! was recently featured on the Web site Cartoon Brew, which is currently hosting the full-length video. Amid Amidi writes that The Terrible Thing, about a space bounty hunter and a not-so-terrible monster, “is not only one of the best student shorts I’ve seen in a long time, it’s one of the finest animated shorts, period.” The Norman Transcript recently featured an interview with Armstrong as well.
