Since 2003, SVA has participated in the New York City Affordable Art Fair, an annual, four-day event offering works by a variety of established and emerging artists and galleries.

On March 22nd, the Office of Career Development hosted SVA’s annual Career Fair at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The fair was attended by 60 top creative employers and over 350 students and recent graduates.

A new body of work by BFA Photography student Michael Anthony Schmidt is attracting international attention, thanks to a recent CNN story. Schmidt, a reservist in the U.S. Coast Guard who is stationed on Staten Island and takes the ferry on his commute to SVA, recently started taking pictures of the other passengers.
