Alumnus Gary Doodles Creates Series for Nickelodeon
Breadwinners, a new series based on an animated short of the same name by Gary Doodles, a.k.a. Gary DiRaffaele (BFA 2005 Animation), has been picked up by Nickelodeon for 20 episodes. Created by Doodles and Steve Borst, Breadwinners tells the adventures of two zany ducks who operate a bread delivery service from their jet-fueled rocket van.

A new body of work by BFA Photography student Michael Anthony Schmidt is attracting international attention, thanks to a recent CNN story. Schmidt, a reservist in the U.S. Coast Guard who is stationed on Staten Island and takes the ferry on his commute to SVA, recently started taking pictures of the other passengers.
