From Medical Marijuana to Sex: Five Innovative New Design Projects

MFA Design class of 2016 students recently joined forces for Venture 16, a presentation of their thesis projects that took place at the SVA Theatre. A total of 19 innovative, market-ready projects were presented in all, ranging from a nifty new device for medical marijuana patients, to a platform that aims to redefine sex education. Here’s a closer look at five of the projects from these up-and-coming designers.

A compact device that simplifies the consumption of medical marijuana for patients by combining the mechanism of a grinder, storage container and smoking device.

WTF NYC by Fenghe Luo
A creative product brand that uses the everyday sights and stories of New York City as inspiration for souvenirs.

danchu735Danchu Pharmacy by Sylvia DiKong
An online Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pharmacy that will prepare, package and deliver weekly doses of herbal remedies to patients.

An impartial and trustworthy platform for young adults to read and share stories about sex and sexuality.

An authentic Chinese pop-up dining experience that collaborates with restaurants and chefs in New York City.
