SVA Galleries is hosting a booth at the 2015 PULSE New York Contemporary Art Fair, taking place at the Metropolitan Pavilion, located at 125 West 18th Street in Manhattan, from Thursday, March 5, through Sunday, March 8. The SVA booth will feature the work of nine students and one alumnus: MFA Fine Arts students Sarah Dineen, Nadine Faraj, Fiorella Gonzales-Vigil Mohme, and Jsun Laliberte; BFA Fine Arts students Wenye Fang and Wednesday Kim; BFA Photography student Brandon Michael Hall; BFA Illustration student Michael Rupp; MFA Photography, Video and Related Media student Quinn Tivey; and alumnus Clay Patrick McBride (MPS 2013 Digital Photography, BFA 1995 Photography). The SVA Galleries booth will be located in PULSE’s POINTS section, reserved for “alternative models and not-for-profit organizations.”
In addition, alumnus Richard Clarkson (MFA 2014 Products of Design) is contributing his piece, The Cloud, to the fair’s PROJECTS program. A cloud-shaped lamp that changes in color, emits sounds, and responds to noise and movement, Clarkson’s piece will hang above the big table in the Perspectives area of the fair, where several discussions on the theme of “The Future” will be held.
