BFA Fine Arts Chair Suzanne Anker was recently named Chair-Elect of the prestigious Leonardo Education and Art Forum (LEAF). For the next three years, Anker will help shape the creative vision of the organization, which promotes the advancement of artistic research and academic scholarship at the intersections of art, science, and technology. At the end of her three-year tenure, Anker will rotate into an advisory group and continue to lend guidance to LEAF. The current chair of LEAF is Adrienne Klein, a faculty member in BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects.
LEAF serves practitioners, scholars, and students who are members of the Leonardo community and provides a forum for collaboration and exchange with other scholarly communities, including the College Art Association of America (CAA), of which it is an affiliate. In addition, LEAF provides critical content in the form of scholarly journals published by MIT Press (Leonardo and LMJ), the Leonardo Book Series (MIT Press), as well as the Leonardo family of websites and experimental projects on evolving digital platforms.
