SVA Named One of the Top Five Design Schools in the U.S.

When Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) magazine asked 10,000 design professionals for their expert opinions on the country’s most influential design schools and prominent power players, SVA ranked in the country’s top five schools today and over the past half-century, with esteemed faculty receiving the highest honors.

GDUSA200Providing a snapshot of what the design community thinks right now, the survey questioned readers on who they felt were the most significant graphic designers and art directors of the past 50 years. SVA Acting Chairman Milton Glaser was named the “Most Influential Graphic Designer of the Past 50 years” and MFA Design Department faculty member Stefan Sagmeister took the “Most Influential Graphic Designer Working Today” title.

The findings also generated a shortlist of influential creatives from the design community that featured MPS Branding Department
