Current BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects student Luke Guyer has been invited to be a featured speaker at the upcoming Motion 2013 conference, taking place October 4th –7th in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Now in its seventh year, Motion brings together some of the most creative minds from the world of computer art, animation, motion graphics and visual effects. Guyer, a Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship recipient, will deliver a talk entitled, “I’m 18. I Know What I Want,” in which he’ll explain how Call of Duty and a concussion from soccer that knocked him out of school for four months led him to freelancing online, working with clients including HP and ESPN, and now studying at SVA. From the Motion 2013 website: “My name is Luke Guyer, I am 18 years old, and I know exactly what I want to do with my life and I want to tell everyone that story.”
