SVA Students and Alumni Win 3×3 Annual Awards

Contemporary illustration magazine 3×3 recently announced the winners of its 2013 ProShow Annual and several SVA students and alumni took top honors. rabbitAndré da Loba (MFA 2009 Illustration as Visual Essay) took the gold medal for animation and Keith Negley (MFA Illustration as Visual Essay 2013) earned two bronze medals for both the Editorial-Conceptual and Unpublished categories. Merit award winners from the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department include: Jonathan Bartlett (2009), Wesley Bedrosian (1996), Megan Berkshiser (1997), Maelle Doliveux (2013), Eddie Guy (2013), Paul Hoppe (2005), Steven Tabbutt (2006), and current students Adam Doyle and Daniel Zender.

SVA was also well represented in 3×3’s 2013 Student Show, which received entries from over 90 colleges and universities from around the world. Boyoun Kim (BFA 2013 Illustration) received a silver medal as well as a merit award. Recent MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department alumni Boyeon Choi,
