SVA’s Jesse Averna Wins Third Consecutive Emmy Award

SVA faculty member Jesse Averna (BFA 2008 Film and Video) recently won his third consecutive Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing. Averna received the honor along with co-editor John Tierney and supervising editors Tim Carter and Todd James for work on the 2012 season of the long-running PBS children’s show Sesame Street. The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and was broadcast nationally on Sunday, June 16.

The Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, recognize exceptional achievement in all fields of daytime television production.
