MFA Interaction Design Department Chair Liz Danzico is teaming up with leading venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA) on its latest project, the upcoming launch of a 12-week NEA Studio program that will support designers founding mobile and web start-ups in New York. Danzico will join a select team of experts who will advise the entrepreneurs during the program.
The NEA Studio program will help chosen designers by giving them access to shared workspace at the NEA Studio in Union Square and provide access to NEA investors and advisors who will help them develop their projects into fully functional companies. The designer-founders will also receive a stipend to fund their work during the program. In addition, they will be able to participate in weekly networking events that will include other members of the New York startup and design communities.
Applications for the 12-week program are being accepted through March 31, 2013 with a program start date of April 30, 2013. For additional information and to apply, visit nea.com.
