SVA alumnus Irina Danilova (MFA 1996 Fine Arts) was chosen by the prestigious Vilcek Foundation to be the first artist featured on its new dArtboard and awarded a $5,000 honorarium. Danilova’s solo exhibition includes her projects Constellations, City Drawings and National and Geographic, which are all components of her ongoing series entitled Project 59. From the Vilcek Foundation website: “As our inaugural exhibit, we are proud to present the work of Ukrainian-born artist Irina Danilova, whose innovative use of new media represents a broad shift within the artistic community.”
