Kevin O’Callaghan, chair of 3D Design, has been selected for the Hall of Fame of the Art Director’s Club, the premier global membership organization for creative talent in visual communication. “This year marks the 92nd year of the Art Directors Club and our Hall of Fame continues to grow with advertisers, designers, educators, artists, photographers and illustrators whose work is quite simply jaw-dropping,” said Ignacio Oreamuno, ADC Executive Director.
On hearing the news of his colleague, BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department Chair and fellow ADC Hall of Fame laureate Richard Wilde said, “In the history of three-dimensional-design education, Kevin O’Callaghan has taken his vision to unimaginable heights inspiring students to achieve a professional level of excellence far beyond expectations.”
O’Callaghan’s fellow inductees are illustrator Barry Blitt; David Droga, Creative Chairman of droga5; photographer Mary Ellen Mark; and Deborah Sussman, Principal and Founder of Sussman/Prejza. They all now join the company of Walt Disney, Annie Leibovitz, Andy Warhol and Dan Wieden, among others, and
will be formally honored by the ADC at its Hall of Fame Benefit Gala, taking place Friday, October 5, in New York City.
