Work by Paul Sahre Added to the Milton Glaser Design Study Collection

August 29, 2012

BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department faculty member Paul Sahre recently had work added to the prestigious Milton Glaser Design Study Collection. With his contribution of book jacket designs and rare silkscreen theater posters, Sahre now joins the company of SVA legends including George Tscherny, James McMullan and Seymour Chwast.

Sahre, who illustrates regularly for The New York Times and also has work in the permanent collections of both the Cooper-Hewitt and the National Design Museum, has designed book covers for authors such as Rick Moody, Chuck Klosterman and Ben Marcus, and was commissioned by the rock band They Might Be Giants to build a pink monster truck hearse for their recent music video “When Will You Die.”

The Milton Glaser Design Study Collection brings together notable artists with close connections to SVA and makes their work accessible to students, designers, and researchers. For more information about their collections, please visit their website.
