The 2012 SVA ‘Annual’ Now Online

SVA has gone all-digital for the 2012 edition of The Annual, the College’s yearly publication of noteworthy news and outstanding achievements of students, faculty, and alumni. Now available online only, the extensive roundup features an introduction by President David Rhodes, illustrations by SVA Student Galleries administrative manager Jessica Hale (MFA 2005 Illustration as Visual Essay), plus loads of videos, reviews, interviews, and more.

Among the many highlights: “An American in Venice” focuses on Sarah Sze (MFA 1997 Fine Arts), who was picked to represent the United States at the 2013 Venice Biennale; “A Mind for Design” recaps MFA Design Department Co-chair Steven Heller’s recognition from Michelle Obama at the White House; “Flower Power” catches up with SVA-logo designer George Tscherny; and “Pillow Talk” relives multimedia artist Laurie Anderson’s unforgettable address and performance at the College’s 2012 Commencement Ceremony.
