From over 360 entries worldwide, nearly a dozen 2012 graduates of the BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects Department received high honors at this year’s CG Student Awards (formerly known as the Computer Graphics Student Awards).
Danica Parry won the coveted USA Internship Award, earning the chance to gain valuable experience at The Mill, a moving image, design, and digital media company based in New York, Los Angeles and London. Finalists for the USA Internship Award included fellow alumni Chris DeVito, Sang Ho Lee, Jonathan Lin and Zack Lydon.
Lin and Parry were also finalists for the Student of the Year Award, and alumni Arsen Arzumanyan, Da Suel Kim, Sari Rodrig and Huber Wozniak, as well as current BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects student Kyle Moy, received Highly Commended recognition. Finalists were handpicked by a jury of judges that critiqued work based on creative and technical skills, presentation, raw talent and future potential.
