SVA Alumnus Wins First Place at College Television Awards

April 6, 2012

Alumnus Dawn Schwartz (MFA 2011 Social Documentary Film) recently won first place at the 2012 Academy of Arts and Sciences College Television Awards for her film World on a String, which follows six members of the yo-yo community as they prepare to compete in the 2010 World Yo-Yo Contest. The Academy’s national competition recognizes excellence in student-produced video, digital, and film work, and each year it receives entries from hundreds of college and university students across the country. Winners receive cash awards, industry recognition, and the opportunity to network with top television executives during a black-tie gala in Los Angeles.
