In The Press: Graphic Design Board Game by Fatimah Kabba

June 9, 2011

A recent article by Fast Company‘s Co. Design highlights a new board game about, for and by graphic designers developed by alumnus Fatimah Kabba (BFA 2011 Graphic Design).

The game is titled The Pitch and was created by Kabba in order to “communicate the premise of graphic design and make it accessible to everyone, especially non-creatives” following a discussion about design with a friend. The goal of the game is to become the greatest designer of the generation by winning awards and executing successful pitches. More detailed instructions can be found here.
The SVA alumnus hopes to secure $10,000 by June 21 to produce the game, not only for designers but also for “your younger brother, your grandma who can’t click a computer mouse or your best friend who’s an economics major.” Pledges can be made through June 21 by visiting Kabba’s Kickstarter Web page.
