The most recent graduates of the MFA Fine Arts Department are taking a well-deserved art world victory lap in the new exhibition, “Plus One,” at Perry Rubenstein Gallery, 527 West 23rd Street. The show, which is curated by faculty member Dan Cameron, brings together work by members of the program’s class of 2010, each of whom invited an artist whose work had impacted their own. The result is a collection of sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, video and installation work by more than 60 artists, showcasing the creative voices of the latest group of MFA Fine Arts Department artists alongside some of their key influences.
“Plus One” is on view September 10 – 18; there is an opening reception on Friday, September 10, 6 – 8pm. Visit the gallery’s Web site to view selected images from the exhibition.
