In addition to being a premier site for SVA lectures, screenings and classes, the new SVA Theatre is also quickly becoming a prime spot for Hollywood premieres. On Tuesday, Tyler Perry’s new feature film I Can Do Bad All By Myself had a red-carpet opening at the theater, and according to the industry tip-sheet Variety, it was complete with star turns from celebrities including Mary J. Blige and Gladys Knight.
This is the latest in a run of movie premieres at the SVA Theater, which has also hosted the opening nights of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and Beyonce Knowles’ Obsessed.
