Branding Demand

Word about SVA’s new MPS Branding Department, which will begin enrolling students in the fall of 2010, continues to spread. As covered in a recent story in Advertising Age, the one-year program bridges diverse disciplines, including cultural anthropology, behavioral psychology, commerce and creativity, to give students a comprehensive understanding of branding. Featuring interviews with both SVA President David Rhodes and Department Chair Debbie Millman, who conceived the program with MFA Design Department Co-chair Steven Heller, the article touts the benefits of an industry-focused approach that emphasizes visual communication.
