  • Sheila Metzner Lecture: Renowned photographer Sheila Metzner will show and discuss selections from a celebrated body of work spanning fashion photography, landscapes, still lifes and portraiture. The lecture is presented in conjunction with the retrospective exhibition “Time Line: Sheila Metzner.” Tuesday, September 16, 7pm, Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor. Free and open to the public.
  • SVA Alumni Society Auction: The Alumni Society of School of Visual Arts presents an auction to benefit SVA students and honor individuals connected with the College who have made significant contributions to the SVA community and the cultural and artistic life of New York City. This year the Alumni Society will honor Gregory Crewdson, photographer and BFA Photography Department mentor; Lorna Simpson, photographer and SVA alumnus; and Lynda Benglis, sculptor and SVA faculty member.
