New York City cinema-goers can catch alumnus Charles Jang (BFA 2004 Graphic Design) on the big screen. Jang stars in Take Out, a feature film now playing at the Quad Cinemas in Manhattan, as well as the Kew Gardens Cinema in Queens and the Jacob Burns Films Center in Pleasantville, NY. Jang plays Ming Ding, an illegal Chinese immigrant working as a deliveryman for a Chinese take-out shop in New York. The character gets caught up in a high-pressure race to pay back a group of smugglers, and must go to extremes to raise the money in one day.

In other film news, Erik Brauer (BFA 2009 Film and Video) wrote and directed the short film The Delivery, which recently won the award for Best Short at the Hoboken International Film Festival. The film follows two mob associates in hiding who order out for a pizza delivery. A prank phone call from some college students changes the course of the delivery and forces the mobsters to take action.
