The Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW)—an education and exhibition organization operating in Seattle—holds an annual photography competition and exhibition, and three alumni of SVA’s graduate photography program are amongst this year’s two-dozen winners. Rachel Dunville (MFA 2005 Photography, Video and Related Media), Dina Kantor (MFA 2007 Photography, Video and Related Media) and Daniel Traub (MFA 1998 Photography and Related Media) were all selected from over 400 entrants by the 2007 juror, Charlotte Cotton, who is department head and curator of photography at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Their work is on display as part of “Up & Now: 12th Annual Photographic Competition Exhibition,” which is at the PCNW gallery July 13 – August 30, with an opening reception on Friday, July 13, 6 – 9pm. As part of the exhibition, Cotton will name first, second and third prize winners to receive prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250, respectively.
