  • Affordable Art Fair Panel Discussions: In conjunction with The Affordable Art Fair (AAF), SVA will present two panel discussions for new and experienced collectors of contemporary art. On Saturday, June 16, 2pm, author Lisa Hunter will lead a discussion entitled First Steps: Beginning and Developing Your Collection. The panelists will cover such issues as buying art as an investment, doing research and specializing in various media. On Sunday, June 17, 2pm, master printer and SVA faculty member Judith Solodkin will moderate a panel entitled The Paper Chase: Collecting, Owning and Preserving Works on Paper. Admission to each program is free with AAF admission; both programs take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion and adjoining Altman Building, 125 West 18th Street.
