Halloween may be many months away, but the MFA Computer Art Department is hosting a creepy treat on campus. On Tuesday, February 13, there will be a screening and discussion with video artist Jillian Mcdonald. Her two-channel video, Zombie Loop, is presented on two opposing walls, which positions the viewer in the center of the visual loop, wherein a gruesome zombie endlessly pursues a running survivor; Mcdonald enacts the roles of both zombie and survivor. Mcdonald is a Canadian artist, now living in New York, who works with video, performance and interactive Web art—more about her work is available at www.jillianmcdonald.net.
The screening will take place 6 – 8pm at 133/141 West 21st Street, 10th floor, and is free and open to the public. For more information visit www.mfaca.sva.edu or call 212.592.2532.
