Each year, the College Art Association (CAA) organizes a conference and hosts exhibitions of student artwork from local colleges. This year’s conference is in New York, and two shows will feature artwork from SVA students. The first is CAA’s undergraduate exhibition, in which current BFA Fine Arts Department students Elizabeth Castaldo, Andrew D’Angelo and Amelia Miller will have work on display, February 12 – 28, at the New York Center for Art and Media Studies, 44 West 28th Street, with a reception on Thursday, February 15, 5:30 – 7pm.
In addition, work by eight students from the MFA Fine Arts Department will be included in the masters exhibition: Jee Hui Chang, Damien Crisp, Nikolas Gambaroff, Hadassa Goldvitch, Peter Gregorio, Go Woon Lee, Shiri Modechay and Thuridur Sigurthorsonsdottir. The show will take place February 10 – March 24, at the Hunter College/Times Square Gallery, 450 West 41st Street; there will be an opening reception on Thursday, February 15, 6 – 9pm.
