Two alumni from the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media Department have new works going on view. Suellen Parker (MFA 2004 Photography, Video and Related Media) has a solo exhibition of new work, “Incurable,” at Daniel Cooney Fine Art, 511 West 25th Street, Suite 506. This collection of Parker’s digitally manipulated images, which combine sculpture, photography and painting to create off-kilter portraits, is on display January 11 – March 3, with an opening reception on Thursday, January 11, 6 – 8pm.
Up in New England, alumnus Jane Marsching (MFA 1995 Photography and Related Media) is a finalist for the James and Audrey Foster Prize at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. The ICA is presenting an exhibition of work by all four finalists through Sunday, March 11, which includes Marsching’s environmental-themed art.
