Four for Eleven

April 7, 2006

Four students in the BFA Interior Design Department have had work selected for inclusion in “New York Eleven,” a traveling exhibition on view in Albany, NY, April 3 – 14; and in New York City, April 17 – 21, at the New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Avenue. Seniors Aurisbel Banny, Linda Bower, Keleena Brzozowski and Jieun Yim were chosen from a field of students at 11 participating design schools in New York State. Projects featured in the exhibition include an exploration of modular living units, the effects of lighting on spatial experience and a plan to improve the function and appearance of a hospital. According to Department Chair Lovejoy Duryea, “These students are doing work today that is going to be part of worldwide design trends in the near future.” This year marks the ninth year of the program, which was launched by the International Council for a Caring Community, a non-governmental agency of the United Nations.
