Two eclectic artists will be on the College’s campus next week, offering chances to meet and learn from leaders in the field. The MFA Computer Art Department is hosting Picture Stories: The Art of Ben Katchor, a lecture by the creator of Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer. Katchor will be talking about his work on Wednesday, March 15, at 6pm, 133 West 21st Street, 10th floor; the event is free and open to the public.
The following night, the Camera Club of New York presents a lecture by world-renowned fashion photographer and entrepreneur Fabrizio Ferri on Thursday, March 16, at 7pm, in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor. In addition to his work with a camera, Ferri is founder of the Industria Superstudios in Milan and New York, as well as Industria Digital, Industria Musica, Fondazione Industria and the Fabrizio Ferri School of Creativity and Synaesthetics. Free for SVA students, faculty and alumni and CCNY members; $10 for the general public.
