  • Artists Talk on Art presents: Friday, December 2, Word Art, a panel moderated by artist Richard Lewis Roth; and Friday, December 9, Today’s Sculpture, a panel that includes Sculpture Studio Manager Erik Guzman and faculty member Marsha Trattner. Both events take place in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor, at 7pm. Admission is free for SVA students, faculty, staff and ATOA members; $7 regular admission; $3 for SVA alumni, non-SVA students and seniors.
  • MFA Computer Art Lecture Series: Rachel Greene will give a talk on Networked Art on Monday, December 5, 6 – 8pm, 133 West 21st Street, 10th floor. Admission is free.
  • MPS Art Therapy Workshop: Susan Spaniol, EdD, will host a workshop entitled Signature Drawings: Personal Mark-Making as Inspiration on Monday, December 5, 6:30 – 8:30pm, 132 West 21st Street, 3rd floor. Free to SVA students, faculty and alumni; $20 for the general public. Attendees must RSVP to 212.592.2610.
  • Milton Glaser Lecture: The students of the undergraduate honors program present a lecture by renowned designer Milton Glaser, entitled Design and Ambiguity, on Thursday, December 8, 7pm, in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor. Admission is free.
  • Fine Arts Open Studios: *MFA Fine Arts Department, 141 West 21st Street, 8th and 9th floors – Friday, December 16, 12 – 8pm; Saturday, December 17, 12 – 6pm; Reception: Thursday, December 15, 5 – 9pm. *BFA Fine Arts Department: Painting, 141 West 21st Street, 4th and 6th floors – Thursday, December 15, 5 – 9pm. *BFA Fine Arts Department: Sculpture, 30 West 17th Street, December 10 – 11, 12 – 6pm; Reception: Monday, December 12, 5 – 9pm.
