In SVA’s Art for Kids program, the youngest artists are encouraged to express themselves in big ways. Classes get kids ages 5 – 10 working in a variety of media, such as watercolor, tempera and clay, all under the expert guidance and supervision of faculty and graduate students from the College’s MAT Art Education Department.
The 10-session program runs July 18 – 29 at a cost of $150 per child, and there are still spots available in the youngest age group, kindergarten to first grade. At the end of the program, Friday, July 29th, the children’s work will be exhibited in the art education studios, 132 West 21st Street, 4th floor, 11am – 12:30pm.
