Approximately one third of SVA’s student body lives in the College’s three residence halls, and the staff of the Office of Residence Life makes sure that these students have a full plate of activities to round out their experience at SVA. Every week, Residence Life programs two to three activities for students in each residence, including movies, cooking lessons and educational presentations. Recently, more than a dozen George Washington Residence students came out to create voodoo magic. In a program hosted by Resident Assistants Dana Regina and Rhiannon Davidson, materials were supplied for residents to create their own voodoo dolls. Residents stayed in the GW Solarium until midnight to perfect their creations, inspired by a variety of sources ranging from old boyfriends and bosses to the very popular thesis advisor and instructor dolls.
