The Artists Talk on Art (ATOA) panel discussion series continues in SVA’s 209 East 23rd Street building: On Friday, October 29, 7pm, in the third-floor Visual Arts Amphitheater, ATOA will present “Jean-Michel Basquiat and the Third Eye,” which will gather experts on the late artist to discuss his work and ongoing influence.
The following Friday, November 5, 7pm, in the Gene Stavis Theatre, Room 502, co-moderators Roy Assad and Alan Lipson of RBA Insurance will lead a discussion entitled “Long-Term Care Options for Artists,” exploring the healthcare options available to artists in New York. Admission for each program is $7; free to SVA students and faculty; $3 to non-SVA students and seniors. Doors open at 6:30pm.
