The recently released issue of the Visual Opinion (VO), SVA’s student-produced magazine, marks the departure of editor-in-chief Paul Bruno (BFA Graphic Design, third year) and promotion of his successor, third-year BFA Photography Department student Monika Abate.
Abate came aboard the VO’s staff last semester as office manager after associate director of student activities Tina Crayton sent out a call for students to get involved with the magazine. When Bruno announced that he was stepping down, Abate was offered the position.
The current issue, Vol. 10 – Iss. 02, has a dramatic new look, which Abate attributes to the magazine’s new art director, Christine H. Wong. Abate hopes to produce the new V.O. four times a year and is seeking submissions for future issues. Students should contact her at [email protected].
