The Neuberger Museum of Art, in Purchase, New York, is currently exhibiting more than 80 paintings by abstract painter/sculptor and BFA fine arts faculty member Tobi Kahn. The exhibition, Sky & Water, allows Kahn to explore landscapes that are based on things experienced, things remembered and perceptions that are filtered through time. The paintings often deal with the same location, yet seen during different seasons and at different times of day. Sky & Water runs through August 24 at the Neuberger Museum’s Theater Gallery.
Kahn and the exhibition curator will be hosting a lunch and gallery tour on June 11 at noon. On July 23 at 7pm, he will conduct an art workshop in which participants can create objects from natural and found materials. The workshop is sponsored by Avoda, a non-profit organization that aims to help young people find and maintain their spiritual and cultural identities. Limited space available. Please consult the gallery’s Web site for further information: www.neuberger.org.
