It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s…Sold

SVA faculty member and notable Silver Age cartoonist Carmine Infantino’s 1967 original cover art for Superman, issue 199 recently sold at auction for $33,925.00. The pencil and ink cover, which was sold on the Heritage Comics Web site, features the red-caped wonder competing in a race against the Flash for the honor of the fastest man alive.
