Room With a View: Vera Lutter’s Monumental Work

Vera Lutter (MFA Photography & Related Media, 1995) is having an exhibition featuring some of her large-scale camera obscura pieces. It’s at Gagosian Gallery, April 5 – May 3, with a reception April 5, 6 – 8pm. To create her monumental work, Ms. Lutter uses room-sized cameras that she often inhabits during the exposure, which can last hours, days, or even weeks. Ms. Lutter’s work can be found in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and others.
