Kodak Moment: Film Grant Awarded to SVA

March 17, 2003

The Film, Video and Animation Department has just received a grant of $3,000 in film stock from the Eastman Kodak Company. The grant, part of the Kodak Student Filmmaker Program, was established to support the future generation of filmmakers through a variety of educational initiatives, including the Eastman Scholarship Program, the Eastman Educational Allowance Program, and more. Department chair Reeves Lehmann was ecstatic over the award and had this to say: “As grant money and scholarships become scarcer, students find it more difficult to stay in school and produce films of quality. Thanks to Eastman Kodak product grants, we are able to subsidize projects that merit support, thus allowing students not to compromise the images of their dreams.” For more information on Kodak’s programs for the student community, visit their new Web site.
