Voice of the Industry

March 14, 2002

From March 21 to March 23 the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) will be hosting Voice in Washington, D.C., its ninth biennial design conference. At the event, critical thinkers and visual practitioners will discuss and debate the issues facing designers today, including the moral, social and political dimensions of their work. Many of the industry heavyweights who will be featured at this three-day event, as speakers and workshop hosts, hail from SVA as alumni and/or faculty members, including: Nicholas Blechman, Milton Glaser, Carin Goldberg, Pete Hamill, Steven Heller, Luba Lukova, Stefan Sagmeister, and Paula Scher (named as this year’s Master Series Award winner). Voice will also include exhibitions, studio tours, parties, and giveaways. For more information, visit www.aiga.org.
