The Cisco Kid

Former SVA student Desiree Cisco is part of an exhibition celebrating Black History month. The New Jersey artist, recognized primarily for her pencil portraits of children, is currently showing her work in an anniversary exhibition, Atrium’s Journey: A Decade through March 22 at the Atrium Art Gallery in Morristown, New Jersey. Ms. Cisco has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for such clients as Whitney Houston and renowned photographer Gordon Parks, who commissioned her to create the portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. used for his PBS Special Martin.
